Using the Basic Borders and Many Thanks Stamp set!
I lined up the Basic Borders stamp using a MISTI Tool and MISTI's Creative Corners Tool to help me make use that the stamps were straight!

You can watch a video tutorial on how I made this here:

These are the inks I have used!

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Stamped Patterns for Cardmaking - Altenew 5th Anniversary Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to a Blog Hop celebrating Altenew's 5th Anniversary! I remember when the company first launched and I was immediately hooked to their beautifully designed stamps and inks that coordinate perfectly with each other! It would be best to start from Altenew's blog to take part in the hop and get a chance to win some amazing prizes!

You have probably arrived here from the seriously talented Kymona Tracey's Blog!

Prizes
Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners and one Altenew Academy class to 10 lucky winners. There are also 14 awesome companies/crafty friends who are celebrating with us, and they are offering the following prizes:

I made a series of cards using Altenew's Trigonometry Stamp Set which is one of my favourites to use for pattern building. I made a video showing off how to create easy stamped backgrounds for cards and various projects using this set and some of Altenew's Cube Inks!

It's fun to see the different kinds of patterns that you can create using this set!

This is the card that I made in the video. The cube ink colours work so beautifully together! If you are struggling to find a colour palette that you like, you can have a look in Pinterest for colour inspiration!

I stamped with white pigment ink on this card, I love the dimensional look that it gives!

And here's another fun card that I made using the tiny triangles from the set, I love that they look like confetti! :)

Thank you so much for taking part and I hope you all have a great day! Your next stop is Bea Valint!

Pretty Things Survivors Do

Welcome to our Pretty Things Survivors Do inaugural blog hop! We are glad you’re here.
PTSD is a “psychiatric disorder that can occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a natural disaster, serious accident, terrorist act, war/combat, rape or other violent personal assault.” (American Psychiatric Association definition)

Although mostly associated with war veterans, it affects 3.5% of the population and 4% of US children ages 13-18 will experience PTSD in their lifetime. About 8 million adults have PTSD during a given year. (Bran and Behavior Research Foundation)
The holidays are a difficult time for those living with PTSD. We are participating in the blog hop in the hopes that you may be reminded to reach out to loved ones, neighbors, and friends who could be living with PTSD daily. If one person is remembered this holiday season, then we have achieved our goal of spreading awareness. Below you will find different ways you can help those with PTSD.
I have made a video on how I put my card together. I know there are many in the papercrafting community that take a lot of solace from making things by hand and passing along the joy of crafting.

The blog hop list is as follows:

Gelli Arts ® - Holiday Cards

This week on the Gelli Arts® Blog, the Artists are sharing Holiday cards. For my card backgrounds, I decided to create a masterboard using the 3 X 5 plate and the 3" round plate.

I have recently been loving making master boards, they are so easy to put together and great for creating backgrounds for a series of projects, in this case cards! The above image is the two masterboards I created before I cut them up to make card backgrounds.

I mounted the 3 X 5 plate and the 3" round plate on to an acrylic block and went to town creating impressions with Gelli Arts acrylics paints, bubble wrap, and various stencils from my stash.

I tried to keep as much white space as possible, which gives the piece a slightly airier look! I love that it makes it look a little less busy as well.

I personally struggle with maintaining white space in my projects, but I am learning to embrace it more so recently.

I finished off the cards by adding them to some card bases and adding some simple and versatile greetings with my Dymo Label Maker.

Here's a quick video where I'm putting together the cards after I cut the panels down!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
