A couple of weeks ago, I was roaming around in the local (insert stationary franchise name), I came across some manila money envelopes and I thought it would be an interesting experiment to try to alter them into a mini album. The only difficult part was choosing and cutting the paper to size. The envelopes measure 2.6"x3.8" approximately and perfectly fit ATC cards. All the paper is from Tim Holtz Lost and Found collection, All stamps used are Stampers Anonymous, and I used tissue tape to bind the album together. I might do a video on how I did it in a few days and a more detailed look at the album itself.
I had this mini album complete complete for a week or so now, but I was waiting for a punch to be delivered and it arrived today! I needed a circle punch to make slots in the envelopes, to make it easier to slide the ATC tags out. All ATCs were cut out from the Lost and Found stack as well.
Edit: Check out this post for a flipthrough and tutorial:

ReplyDeleteWhat a great little album. Would love to see your video demonstrating how you did it. I think I can figure most of it out but maybe you've done things I wouldn't think of. I belong to a small ATC swap group and think it would be fun to make an album for each member.

Thank you for all the comments! I will try to make a video sometime soon next week, I am wondering how I'm going to do it, I don't have a tripod hehe. I intend to make one with TH's new glassine envelopes once I get my grubby mitts on them next month.
ReplyDeleteLin: I am a huge fan of Laura's and of Marion Smith and I follow their blogs and videos regularly! They're so talented! No I haven't made a paper bag album yet, but it is on my to do list.
Mary: Yes it is really simple to make, like I mentioned. the hardest part is cutting out the pages, taping the pages together is super easy!
